The Journey of Exploring and Discovering AR/VR Certifications
My recent pursuit and exploration to understand the impact and major transformation brought by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the media sector has now concluded with my completion of AR/VR studies. I am now officially ready to implement this technology in our country, Somalia, so that we can align ourselves with the global advancements and competition in technology and integrated media.
What is AR & VR?
Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that overlays digital content onto the real world.�Virtual Reality (VR) creates a fully digital environment that a person can immerse themselves in.
The AI Connection
Both AR and VR are rooted in Computer Vision, which is a key component of Artificial Intelligence.
The Potential Impact
In short, AR/VR is a gateway technology to the upcoming future. It has the potential to revolutionize how we approach Education, Healthcare, Business, Social Media, Public Services, and solving societal challenges.
Local Context – Somalia
This technology is still new in our context. You may have only seen it introduced in Somalia as a form of gaming or entertainment, it holds the potential to solve existing problems that haven’t yet been addressed through technology. Both public and private institutions can benefit greatly from it.
